It has been several years since I posted on this page.  Much has changed, but much remains the same.  I go by Rebekah now, rather than Kimberly, I had the final surgery on June 11, 2020, at Marin General Hospital in Marin County, California.  Life has been busy and I have traveled a bunch. I left Georgia in August of 2018 and took a travel contract in El Paso Texas. 15 weeks later, I was in Bishop, California on another assignment.  I stayed in Bishop until November 18, 2021, at which time I moved back to my home in Georgia. I found a part-time job in Tallahassee, Florida, and outside of a couple of short travel contracts, that is where I have been.  From watching my eldest grandson graduate with honors from High School, to my middle son's suicide, and my own heart surgery, there have been ups and downs. Sometimes the highs are not as high as the lows are low.
Writing has been labored and slow. and I am very good at procrastination.  I keep saying I am going to stop procrastinating but ah hell, I'll do that tomorrow.  Although I have 14 chapters written on Collision Orbit, I have hit a wall, so I have tabled that novel for a bit while I work out a plotting snag. Instead, I have been working on Being Kimberly, the journey ends, and the adventure begins.  Also, I have a couple of short stories out there on Vella, the Amazon short story platform.  "God, Engineering, and Design" and "A Squirrel's Tale" are the titles.  Look them up.  fun reads.
Christmas 2023 is 2 days away. and I cannot believe I have recently turned 70. Starting a new decade of life with a new outlook and a new heart.

That's it for now. I will be back soon.
