What's Up, Trannie?

The decision has been made.  I have been offered a full-time position with an imaging center in Huntsville, AL.   I have decided to accept the position and will soon be loading Mr. Ed the RV and heading west once more.  I have to move my camper, car, and Bob the Harley as well. In the interval between now and then, I must locate a campsite in Huntsville, finish cleaning the RV, Pack my clothes, and perform some necessary maintenance on Mr. Ed.  As a Transgender female, moving about the Southern States can be a bit intimidating.  Although I am accepted in most places, the laws change dramatically from one state to another. Cisgender straight people never have to worry about the difference in state laws, because they do not discriminate against straight white people.  I can remember going to motels in Alabama with my construction company in the late 70s and having them turn us down because our crew was mostly black. On several occasions, we ended up booking rooms in the "Colored" motels because they welcomed white people. That being said, some motels in Alabama lost major money for rejecting us.

Huntsville, also known as Rocket City, is located in the northern end of Alabama. It is only an hour and a half to Nashville. Tennessee.  I am looking forward to exploring the Redstone Arsenal and Rocket Park.

This will probably be my last job.  I hope so.  I now have to contact all my recruiters and have them pull my contracts.  that will be disappointing to some.  However, I am not getting interviews as much now.  probably due to my age.

Wish me luck.
